I took the 5 day/20h Trigger Point massage course followed by 10h of private Myofascial release training in Feb ‘24. Hiro is an extremely knowledgeable and talented teacher with several decades experience in sports medicine.

As a doctor, I really loved the experience of learning the anatomy and function of different muscles and tissues with very practical techniques of improving function and reducing pain. Hiro makes the anatomy learning feel simple and fun and it is a great feeling to try different massage techniques and see them improve function and range of motion in minutes!
This is a very practical course with lots of hands-on training and great feedback as you work. In the private myofascial sessions I was working 1 on 1 with Hiro and he was able to give me ongoing tips as I practiced on his body.

Hiro also organised two ‘knowledge sharing’ sessions with visiting professionals (accupuncturist, physiotherapist, judo therapist) which was a great opportunity to develop my understanding about complementary therapies and experience them for myself.

If you're going to massage school in Chiang Mai, RSM is the only choice. I've been to other schools, but this one is focused on practical skills and teaches techniques that originate from clinical practice, so I honestly gained many times more skills and knowledge than I had imagined. In private lessons, you can ask anything you don't understand, and Mr. Hiro's personality is truly the best. He's a knowledgeable and kind teacher who even doctors from abroad come to learn from, so I definitely recommend it to therapists who want to master muscle-relaxing techniques, as well as those interested in myofascial release and stretching. I took a five-day private lesson.

I usually focus on beauty treatments at my salon, but recently, more and more customers have been complaining about severe shoulder stiffness, pain, lower back pain, and poor posture. When it comes to severe shoulder stiffness, lower back pain, and posture improvement, my existing knowledge and skills were not sufficient. So, I decided to apply for this course to learn more about anatomy and massage techniques in a specialized way.

The lessons began with theory, and in the practical sessions, I had the opportunity to practice on the instructor himself. I found it extremely beneficial to be able to practice on the instructor. I was able to learn the appropriate pressure for massage, the location of muscles, how to identify trigger points, and the intricacies of delicate movements.

After returning home, my customers immediately noticed the difference in my massage techniques. They were very pleased with the new skills I learned.

I am eager to continue learning techniques that can alleviate pain and improve posture, so I plan to return for more lessons.

I attended the 7-day intensive course and the 2-day (9-hour) private lesson for a total of 9 days. I was considering various schools, but the moment I discovered RSM, I applied immediately. The trust and reassurance of being taught by a fellow Japanese, along with the personalized instruction from one teacher, were very promising.

With 10 years of experience in chiropractic work and having received various massages, I was instantly captivated by the instructor’s technique. The classes were tailored to each individual’s level, and the anatomy lessons were easy to understand and became more enjoyable the more I learned.

I was particularly impressed by the approach to the psoas muscle, which I had never even thought of touching before. The way to find the small muscles around the sacroiliac joint and the mobilization of the hip and shoulder joints from various angles to the deep tissue was astonishing. The techniques are based on anatomy, making deep tissue approaches feasible and resulting in dramatic changes in the body.

By understanding anatomy and receiving the techniques, it surprisingly became possible to understand muscles and bones, and practicing the techniques brought me closer to satisfactory treatments.

As a Japanese, being able to hear explanations of anatomy in English and touch bodies from around the world was an invaluable experience. I will definitely return to take more advanced classes! Thank you very much, Sensei.

I took 9 hrs private lessons over the weekend with Hiro and cannot recommend him enough. He is a great teacher and makes sure you understand the anatomy and techniques so you can apply them after the course on your own!
